The Jungle Book
One day someone named Rose went to play in the jungle with her friend Tese. Rose got lost when they were playing hide and seek, and it became dark. Tese went back to the village and left Rose in the jungle. Rose peeked outside of the cave that she was hiding in and started to look for Tese, and then she started screaming Tese’s name, but no one was there. She started to get scared because she was only nine years old, and then a ocelot came out from behind a tree. Rose screamed, but then the ocelot started to back up. It came closer a little bit every second, and then it started to rub against Rose. It said, “My name is Divine.” Rose said, “I am Rose.” “I have lived here all my life. I don’t know how to get out,” said Divine. Rose asked, “Where should I live?” Divine said, “I will follow. You pick.” Rose picked her hiding spot in the cave. Tese got back in the village and remembered she forgot Rose. Tese ran to tell Rose’s dad Steve. Tese told her dad, and then Steve went into the forest to look for Rose. He still could not find her. He stopped looking at 5:30 A.M. in the morning. Rose got up at 7:00 A.M. to hunt for food. When she was hunting, a lion came up to her. Rose screamed for Divine, but she was too far. The lion said, “I am Stone. You came into my jungle. I am warning you to get out now. Next time I see you in this jungle, I will kill you.” Rose ran to Divine in the cave to tell her what happened, but Divine was not in the cave. Rose looked everywhere but could not find Divine. Then Rose looked at the water and saw Divine was bleeding on her paw. Rose went down to ask Divine what happened, and Divine said that Stone tried to attack her. Divine gave up after five minutes, and that is how she got hurt. Later in the village, Steven and Tese tried to find her around the village. With no luck, Tese started to doubt herself and cried. Steve tried to calm her down, and it took twenty minutes because Tese loves Rose. They are BFFs. Back in the jungle, Rose went to her cave with Divine. They cooked some fish that they caught at the river for lunch over a fire. When they finished, it was 2:30 P.M. Divine took a nap while Rose ran around the jungle ten times. On her tenth time, Stone saw her and chased her to the cave. Rose hid, so when Stone came he would not find her. Stone left thinking it was just his imagination. Divine asked Rose if she was ok, and Rose said that she was ok. Rose asked if she could come out, and Divine said that she could. Rose went to go find her way to the village. Rose found a light and went to it. The light was coming from the lamp Tese was holding. Rose asked where there was a way out, but Tese said, “I don’t know. I got lost looking for you.” Then they heard a noise. It was Stone. Rose said, “Then come on! Let's go to the cave.” Tese asked, “What cave?” Rose did not answer and just ran. Tese picked up a rock and then saw Stone and threw it at him. He fell down because it hit his head and was not a threat anymore. They looked to their side and saw the village that they were from about a block away. Rose called to the other animals and said, “Stone is dead.” Then Tese saw Steve and told Rose, and she went running for him. They went home together and asked Tese if she wanted a sleepover. A year and 1 day later they celebrated Rose’s birthday in the jungle with Divine at the lake. When they went in the water, that’s when they felt a snake. It jumped out of the water. They took all there things and went to Rose’s house to finish the party there. They went inside where there was a big present for Rose in her room, where they went to play. Steve came up to ask what happened in the jungle. The girls lied and said, “We were tired, so we are just going to sit and play with the presents.” The girls at the party talked about it when Steve left. They saw the snake on the window saying to Rose stay away from the jungle and it would stay away from her. Rose told all the girls what the snake said. They did not go to the jungle for a year. Then for Rose’s next birthday, they went back to the jungle and the snake came again. They went to Rose’s house, but the snake followed them and said the same thing. They put up a note for next year to not go to the jungle the following year. They didn’t, but the snake came to them and said, “Stay away for...” Then Steve chopped the snake before it could finish saying “forever.” Rose lived a happy life from then on. The End!
