THE JUNGLE BOOK
BY: C Chapter One How They Met In the center of the beautiful city of Paris in 1932, there was a dark jungle called the Monkin Jungle where all the animals lived. There was a small village called Tiki. In that village, there was a young boy named Engojoo. He was only five years old and was really mad at his parents, so that night he ran away. While he was running away, he saw a bear that was chasing after him. He fell and hurt his knee and ankle. He passed out, but luckily, there was a tiger roaming around that found him and rescued him before the bear could eat him. When he woke up the next morning in the jungle with two tigers, he was scared. They said “Don’t worry! We won’t harm you.” Then he started talking to them. His tiger dad was Big Daddy Tiger and his tiger mom was Mamma Tiger. The next morning, he went out for a walk with Mamma Tiger, and they went to the animal drinking pool. There, he met the wise old groundhog Punxsutawney Phil. He was good friends with Mamma Tiger. The groundhog said, “My friends call me Phil.” Then all of a sudden, Kohijo arrived. Chapter Two The Return of Kohijo Kohijo was the worst and meanest animal in the Jungle. He said, “I’m here for the boy.” Engojoo stepped forward and said, “You will never eat me.” Then Kohijo started chasing Engojoo, but the animals fought Kohijo until he left. That night when Engojoo went to bed, he dreamed about one day defeating Kohijo. The next morning he went hunting with Big Daddy Tiger. They went hunting for a big buck. When they found the buck, they approached it in the grass. When it looked away, they pounced. That night, they cooked it by the fire, and Engojoo said, “This is the best buck I have ever had in my life! Well it's also the only buck I have ever had.” That night when he went to bed, he had another dream, or so he thought. This time it was real! He was on Big Daddy Tiger’s back, and they where running from Kohijo. He started to catch up, and they couldn't run any further, so his Mom and Dad stayed back and fought Kohijo. He was running so fast that he tripped and hurt himself, but luckily Punxsutawney Phil was going back to his burrow. Engojoo told him what had happened, and he said “Come with me.” He took Engojoo to his burrow and spent the rest of the night there. In the morning, they went looking for his parents, but they were dead. Chapter Three The Training It was early in the morning when Engojoo was woken up by Punxsutawney Phil. Engojoo asked, “What do you need Punxsutawney Phil?” “We need to start training, and by the way, call me Phil,” said Phil. “For what?” asked Engojoo. “For when you fight Kohijo” said Phil. Engojoo was confused and asked why he had to fight Kohijo. Phil said that he was trying to take over the world starting with the jungle. Engojoo asked, “Why does he want to take over the world?” I don’t know, but we must stop him!” Engojoo agreed to fight Kohijo. So they trained for two weeks. After two weeks, Engojoo asked, “Do you think I’m ready?” “I don't think your ready, I know your ready!” replied Phil. Chapter Four The End of A New Beginning That night, they waited for Kohijo to walk by Phil’s burrow where Phil was playing dead. When Kohijo went to bite him, he ran away as fast as he could. Engojoo came in from behind and jumped on his back. Phil threw him a stick, and Engojoo tried to hurt him with the stick, but it would not hurt him. So they grabbed a vine instead and tied it around his neck. He pulled the vines forward, and Engojoo went flying in front of him, and then Kohijo attacked. When Kohijo went to bite Engojoo, he slid under him, grabbed his tail, and flung him on his back. While Engojoo was on Kohijo’s back, Phil was sharpening a stick. Engojoo was getting thrown around on Kohijo’s back, and he went flying in the air. Kohijo opened his mouth, and Phil through him the stick he was sharpening. Engojoo caught the stick and stabbed Kohijo. When he stabbed him, he set out a loud, “ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!” After they killed him, they cooked him by a fire and ate him for dinner. After that, nobody ever harmed them again.
